For this cover i've kept it simple so it adds to the eerie and scary theme of the cover. With the lack of pugs and puffs there is more focus round the main picture making it stand out and more eye catching. I also kept a theme of blood and gore using words such as 'splattered' and 'gore'. this creates cohesion with the image and text balancing the cover out. There is some alliteration, in one puff it reads 'gleefully about gore'. This helps people to memorize and link it to the cover and image with all the blood. The white font links it with the white image of the girls face on the front again creating cohesion. The pug is also in red linking it to the blood on the girls face. I tried to get the font as close as possible to the title font but ended up using one that would link to the scary context of the magazine cover.
